Join Us! In Person!
I’ve got exciting news, y’all! We expect to be able to hold our Summer Leadership Conference in-person this year with programming looking very close to a typical teen institute camp – that means cabins, process groups, and all the LMTI greatest hits!
There are COVID safety protocols that we’ll need to have in place, particularly to ensure participants, volunteers, advisors, and staff arrive healthy to camp. Given the nature of changing guidelines, we expect that guidance is likely to adjust in the coming months. So, we’ll be providing monthly updates and will communicate if/when things change.
This application is meant to be filled out by campers and by our Youth Advisory Council.

Health & Safety (updated 5/13/22)
Here’s the important information that reflects where we stand NOW on our camp health & safety protocols:
The NJ Department of Health has lifted COVID-19 restrictions for summer camps in 2022, but recommends a variety of safety protocols as per CDC guidelines. As such, EVERYONE who attends LMTI’s 2022 Summer Leadership Conference is to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test on their day of arrival to camp. LMTI is providing rapid tests at no cost to those attending.
Vaccines
While proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend the LMTI Summer Leadership Conference, we strongly recommend that all staff, advisors, and participants be fully vaccinated. Vaccination is considered the best way to protect oneself from the risks of COVID-19, up to and including death, as well as the best way to stop the spread of the virus.
We also strongly recommend that all attendees provide the requested COVID-19 vaccination information on their health forms. As per health recommendations by the state of New Jersey and the CDC, anyone who is exposed to COVID-19 at camp who has provided proof of vaccination is NOT required to quarantine and return home, unless they demonstrate symptoms of illness or test positive. Anyone who is exposed to COVID-19 at camp who has NOT provided proof of vaccination must quarantine immediately and be picked up from camp by a parent or guardian.
Vaccines
We’ve had a lot of questions regarding vaccination status and we’re working through those questions as we get clearer guidance on changing camp safety guidelines – hopefully we’ll have clarity by May. As we answer these questions, we will reach out and keep you all updated.
At this point, camp guidelines are for unvaccinated students/staff to quarantine for 2 weeks prior to attending camp, which is not an option for a 5-day program. To avoid this, we’re requiring proof of vaccination or offering virtual programming as an accommodation. As a prevention organization, we strongly encourage everyone who can to get vaccinated and stay up-to-date on boosters.*
*As guidelines change, we will communicate any changes we make to our health & safety protocols.
