Bergen Youth Task Force
The Bergen Youth Task Force is an initiative of the Bergen County Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services to bring youth from across the county together to address the needs of their communities. The BYTF meets several times a year to plan and work on their selected project, culminating in the Bergen County Teen Summit each year.

Current Campaign: Don't Provide Cannabis to Minors
Sticker Shock brings awareness towards underage cannabis use, one of the priorities of the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute. The stickers are placed on the products throughout the store act as “warning” labels to inform the public of the consequences they can face if they provide or purchase cannabis for minors. The message comes in loud and clear when minors are the ones spreading the word and taking action. Parents, older siblings, older friends, etc. are often unaware that they themselves can get into trouble along with the individual that is not of age. Cannabis use for minors is a serious issue and can be harmful to the individual.
For those under 21, using substances like cannabis can, among other issues, create stronger paths to addiction and more issues related to mental health and memory.
